Today I am doing day 2 of Summer Learning Journey. Today the activity I'm doing is Faster Than a Speeding Bullet. We have to make similes relating to is as fast as, is as tall as, is as small as and is beautiful like. These are my similes.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is as fast as a cheetah.
(is as fast as)

A tree is as tall as a Giraffe.
(Is as tall as)

The width of spaghetti is as small as an Ant.
(Is as small as)

The sky is beautiful like Flowers in the garden.
(Is beautiful like)

  1. Mōrena Hope!

My name is Mikey. I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team this year and I'll be commenting on some of your wonderful blog posts over the summer. I'm so pleased that you've made start on the teaser week activities. It's good to get some practice in before the programme officially begins on Monday.

You've come up with some great similes here, Hope. I really like the one about spaghetti. I don't think I've ever heard of it being compared to an ant before - very original! :) Do you like creative writing? These similes make me think that you'd be quite good at it.

Again, well done on completing a teaser week task. Keep up the great blogging and I'll hopefully see some more fantastic posts from you soon.

    Mā te wā!

    Mikey
