For cyber smart we had to pick a country that we want to go to. I picked Australia, I actually have been to Australia and I would love to go again.

We have some questions to answer about the country we want to go to.

The Capital of Australia is Canberra.

In 2011 the population of Canberra was 403,468 but now it has dropped to about 390,000

January is the hottest month in Canberra.

 It has a average of temperature of 69°F (21°C) The coldest month is in July 42°F (6°C)

Canberra is located at the northern Australia capital.

Canberra people don't speak a different language they just speak English.

So me and my Family just got to Australia and we went to sleep then we woke up and wanted something to eat.

Normally in Australia they have Cereal, Toast or a Coffee, or is they want something hot they would have Bacon, Eggs, Sausages and Fried Tomato.

In stead of Waitangi day Australia has Australia day which is 26 of January.

Then we had to go back home to NZ.

Summer Learning Journey

Curious Kiwi forgot to take his book on the over seas trip he went on. So we have to figure out how to entertain him. So I am going to explain a little bit about the book I am reading. The book I'm reading is Once upon a dork.

                             

This book Is amazing I love it, even though I haven't read all of it yet it is still the best book I have ever read. It does have its ups and downs but its a great book I really recommend it.

The one little part in the book I don't really like is the part where they don't tell us that Nikki has the Peanut Butter Jelly and Pickle sandwich that her little sister (Brianna) accused her of stealing, but then it was really funny. 

The characters in this book is Nikki, Brianna, Chloe, Zoey, Brandon and Mackenzie. 

Nikki and Brianna are sister's and they absolutely hate each other.

Nikki, Chloe and Zoey are besties, they tell each other everything.

Nikki has a crush on Brandon but Mackenzie also likes Brandon, But Mackenzie is a bully to Nikki and she makes Nikki's life miserable so does her sister Brianna. 

One of my favorite parts about the book is when Nikki and the Gym class go to play Dodge ball and Nikki gets knocked out With a ball then she wakes up and everyone is staring at her and she Imagines that they have cotton candy and lollies all over them I think its really funny.

Cybersmart

Term 1 in cyber smart we were learning about smart learning.

Lesson 1 was about how we could use our smarts to protect our Chromebook. Lesson 2 was how do you create a unique and strong password for your google account. Lesson 3 was which shortcuts was most effected and how do you know? Lesson 4 was about who own the images online. Lesson 4 (part 2) what is the best way to increase my efficiency. lesson 5 private vs public information. lesson 6 right place right time how hard could it be. Lesson 7 what can you remember about what we have learnt. Lesson 8 coding 101 hands on no devices. Thats was just term 1. 

In term 2 we were learning about our smart footprint. Lesson 1 was how can you find out information about someone else. Lesson 2 was private information. Lesson 3 want to grow your audience. Lesson 4 who is social media for and why? Lesson 5 steps to create a quality blog post. Lesson 6 what is the purpose of a blog. 

Term 3 we learnt about our smart relationships. Lesson 1 blog comment sentence starters. Lesson 2 we are learning to reply to blog comments. Lesson 3 tips on how to be positive, power of words, dealing with haters and trolls and color your world with kindness. 

Term 4 we are being smart users. For the first few weeks we done the research challenge. Then we moved on to scratch coding and thats was a game of drawing and coding. For the last few weeks we have learnt about the summer learning journey.

My favorite part about cyber smart was learning all the different things about being stuff online.

In Cyber smart we are learning to use the filters bar on google search. 

The filters are there to help you find more information about what your searching. We used Austin Post as a example. 

Bonus question: How did Austin choose the name Post Malone? Answer: According to Post, he chose Post Malone as his stage name when he was 14 or 15. The name was rumored to be a reference to the professional basketball player Karl Malone, but Post later explained that while 'Post' is his last name, he used a "rap name generator" to get "Malone".

When you search things up on google it has this spider web, that takes you to all these different sites and picks them for you.
