Maths DLO

In maths I have been working on a DLO about what my favourite maths strategy is. My favourite is the column strategy because it is really easy to use. Here is my DLO.

I hope you understand the strategy I used to make this DLO and it is helpful.
Have a nice day.
Bye!

Obstaball

In P.E we were making our own games, and today we played them with another group. Our group is Nici, Evelyn, Addyson and Shontelle. Our game is called Obstaball, because it is an obstacle including Netball and Football. We had to fill out a template about our game like the equipment, rules, instructions, players, scoring and object. Here is our template so you could play our game to.

(Obstaball)
Written by: Nici, Hope, Shontelle, Addyson, Evelyn

Object

Our game is an obstacle that involves movement and teamwork. The aim is to go through an obstacle to get a goal and then once your team scores a go we go back through the obstacle and try be the first to win.

Players

Two teams with five players on each team.

Equipment

A netball hoop, Cones, Netball and Football

Scoring

To score a goal in a netball hoop but if you miss another teammate has to grab the ball after one bounce and it’s not aloud more than one bounce those.

Winning

Kick the football through a zigzag shape, Then passing between your teammate with a netball in a moving zigzag shape, Then try shoot the netball in the netball hoop but if you miss one of your teammates grabs it after ONE  BOUNCE, Then you pass in a line till you get to the zigzag where you kick the football again, And the people in your team that isn’t kicking does the spider/crab walk backwards, And once everyone in your team gets through the zigzag wins.

Rules

  • NO pushing the other teams players.
  • NO missing and cheating on the obstacle.
  • Play fairly.
  • NO mucking around or sabotaging while playing the game, to make sure your team loses.
  • NO speaking nasty to your teammates and the other teams people. MAKE sure you are supportive or your teammates and the other team.
  • No kicking outside of the boundaries.
  • No missing a player so everybody in your team gets a turn.

We got feedback on our game and the other group said that it was a bit confusing at the spider walk part, when they had to go back through the zigzag in a spider walk, but other then that they really enjoyed our game and had fun. When our group played there game it was really fun and enjoyable. What went well was that everybody had fun and they contributed to the game and had heaps of fun. Their game was a bit rough but it was still fun. There not really much I would would change but I would change the amount of player in each team because there were 2 teams of 3 and 2 teams of 2 it was a bit rough and there were a little to much people at once on the court.

CIP - Gardening

Today we got the choice to choose what we are going to do today for our CIP. The options were Gardening, Compost and Jam. Gardening means to go out to the back of the school and pick the weeds so that we can plant our little seedlings. I was working in a group with Addyson and Shontelle while we picked the leaves. Compost means to go out to the Compost area and flatten it so it could turn into soil. Jam is where you have to design labels or posters for the Jam that we made so we could sell it.

I choose gardening so I was picking the weeds and it got really messy. My hands and knees were covered in dirt its was really gross, but I didn't really care. It was actually fun weeding.
