In textiles we have been working on a sustainability presentation. I worked with my friend Addyson and this is how it turned out.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Solubility
Aim: We are going to investigate the solubility of baking soda (sodium hydrogen carbonate) and table salt (sodium chloride) to see which dissolves faster in water.
Equipment:
1. 100 ml beaker
2. 100 ml measuring cylinder
3. Salt
4. Baking soda
5. Stirring rod
6. Teaspoon
Method:
1. Fill the beaker with 80ml of tap water.
2. Add a level teaspoon of baking soda. (A level teaspoon is running your finger accross the spoon)
3. Stir the baking soda in the water till it dissolves.
4. Repeat step 2 & 3 till no more baking soda can dissolve into the water.
5. Keep track of how many teaspoons were added to the water.
6. Do the experiment again but with table salt.
Results:
Hypothesis: I think the baking soda will dissolve faster because its more powdery than salt and it will just mix with the water.
Discussion:
When we did the first part of our experiment we didn't have enough time so I think we could have had more salt in it.
Conclusion:
So now we know that baking soda is more Soluble than Salt. I think our results could be more accoutre if we had some more time, because we had to clean up and we didn't finish the first part of our experiment in time.
